Latest Glam-Venture..

Hey Glams!! I know... it has been a long time but Im back!  Ready to share the knowledge with all of you and we have so much to catch up on!
Ok today i want to share my latest loves.   Last week I made a trip to Lord and Taylors in search of the perfect grey suede slouchy boot. I found them (on sale to boot..lol) and on my way out I was drawn (as I always am) to the cosmetics floor.  I spent some time at the NARS counter with my friend Raymond and tried some goods.  Needless to say, I walked out with 2 gorgeous blushers and a multi stick which I plan on using for the rest of my days.
NARS Blush in Taj Mahal is G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S.  Its like a burnt orange with shimmer which really pops. Use it sparingly.. but definitely use it.  It's like ORGASM on speed.
Exhibit AI also love Exhibit A but I would only recommend this to Make-Up Artists because its a super pigmented red and not easy to apply. You could end up looking like a clown if not used properly.  If you do decide to venture then I would suggest you be very light with the hand.
NARSLastly, I got the NARS multiple stick in CAP VERT (its matte and like warm clay). Its a lovely tan brown which you can use on the cheeks, eyes and lips or even as a contour.  This is my new staple.

Ă”scillation PowerfoundationTHEN, after I dragged my self away from the NARS counter I sauntered over to Lancome because I had read about the the new Oscillation Powder Foundation and I had to check it out and seriously, I have to say...it's DAMN good.  Its a mineral powder and honestly Im not a fan of the minerals because the look crappy in pictures. BUT  this one is really nice.  The applicator vibrates...yes, vibrates, and the finish is flawless. Very easy to use and has great medium coverage. I strongly recommend that you look into this one...
So there you have my latest glamour adventure and I am truly happy with all of my new goodies. Into the Makeup kit and definitely on my face.  I hope you try them out too and let me know what you think.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving and be beautiful while doing it.  Ta-Ta....

Contouring.... Yes make that face pop!!

Ok so I had lunch with a really good friend of mine yesterday (GLENDA) and as we were talking... I noticed her insane cheekbones.. Now Im not sure about you but I do NOT have that gift!  Done get me wrong, they are there due to my mothers insane Native American bone structure but Im a little more.... well lets say plump and pretty ..lol...
Anyway, I was getting all sorts of ideas about contouring her face.  I thought I would share the knowledge.
I do plan on doing a tutorial soon but until then.....
1. First look at your cheeks and nose.  Those are the areas to work on. If your nose is wide or plump or you want to alter the shape...
2. Use a darker shade of brown shadow/blush/blotting powder  to contour down the nose from the eyebrow...  very gentle and subtle.   Then use the same color on under the cheekbone...  Feel it out- you will feel the bone and focus on the space underneath that..
3. Then gently use that color to maximize the shape of your facial structure.  TRUST!!! It makes a difference.
You could lose 10 lbs in the face in 10 minutes!! Who doesnt love that????
If you have questions, email me and Will be happy to help! In the meantime you work on that and I will work on the tutorial videos.  Later Glams!!

Twas the night after Halloween....

Well Glams, I hope you all had a wonderful and safe Halloween. I, myself, had a ball! My good friend Clarence came into town from San Francisco and we hit the streets. Drinks at the W hotel in Union Square, dinner at City Crab (you must try the Buffalo shrimp) and then I headed home to get ready for the parties. After much thought, I decided to be a Ghoulish, corpse bride. Yes, I got out the ugly stick and beat the face to a pale eery mess!
Here's what I did:
For the foundation base I primed with Smashbox Photofinish and mixed Chanel's ProLumiere in Beige with the Make Up For Ever Flash Palette white color.
I used their HD Microfinish powder to set and then contoured the cheeks with my MAC blotting powder.
For the eyes, I used my MAC palette and used Carbon all over the lid and then moved to my INGLOT palette to add maroon, silver and heather grey. Two sets of false lashes and a very strong brow. The lips were first lined and filled in with Stila Contour #6 and the MAC Russian Red over the top. I curled and teased the hell out of my hair and sprayed it to death.
We met up in Union Square and what a sight we were. He was a Jedi and me.. well you can see for yourself. We had a great time at the party where everyone was decked out in their creative costumes and the music was great. I love Halloween and am already planning next years getup. What did you dress as? Send pics!!
